Silver Strands Salon, a full service beauty salon providing services to the senior client in the Hilltop area of Virginia Beach, is looking for a part time salon assistant.
Although experience is not critical, this would be a great opportunity for a cosmetology student who wants to learn how a salon operates, while at the same time learning the practice of serving this highly growing and lucrative niche market in the beauty industry.
Workdays include Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, starting at 9:00 and lasting till 2:00 or 3:00 depending upon appointments.
The duties include answering phones, setting appointments, returning calls, checking inventory and hands-on work including shampooing clients, rinsing perms, removing rollers, light cleaning and sanitizing, folding towels, etc.
There is no night or weekend work.
Compensation starts at $12.
00 per hour, plus tips.
