What You Will Bring To This Role:
The Breakfast Supervisor is responsible for the operation and leadership of the complimentary guest breakfast, and the Market (guest sundry shop).
Ensures compliance with all Brand Standards, food safety practices and local health codes.
Maintains department expenses (labor, food and guest supplies) within set budget guidelines.
Delivers on guest service.
Some of Your Responsibilities Would Be:
Maintain inventories for complimentary breakfast, evening receptions and the Market.
Create purchase orders for food, beverages and related supplies.
Ensures compliance with brand standards and budgetary guidelines.
Implements appropriate cost controls to meet budget expenses and profitability.
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards and food safety guidelines.
Maintain proper quantities of food for the business demands of the day.
Oversee the daily operation of the breakfast to include: food presentation, condiments, guest supplies and overall cleanliness of the area.
Schedule, supervise, and train the concierge/guest activity associates (breakfast attendants and evening social staff).
Maintain adequate supplies for the Market.
Complete monthly inventory sheets and place orders.
Maintain a visually appealing presentation of Market items.
Manage profitability through appropriate pricing, sales and inventory tracking.
Perform regular inspections on kitchen and buffet equipment.
Request maintenance on items that need servicing/repair.
Maintain all logs and documents as required by the Brand and Health Department.
Ensures guest satisfaction by engaging with guests to gain their feedback; when necessary, works to quickly resolve guest concerns.
Reviews Guest Voice results on Breakfast and Evening reception; evaluates and addresses deficiencies and makes improvements as appropriate.
Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with colleagues, managers and direct reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 6 months experience in a hotel with complimentary guest food and/or restaurant experience.
Knowledgeable in Food Safety and Sanitation procedures.
Candidates must have working knowledge of: Outlook, Word and Excel.
Candidates must be able to use computer systems to make food purchases.
Basic math skills for understanding basic budgetary guidelines, setting pricing on sundries in Market and for calculating inventory.
Previous supervisory experience is helpful.
Candidates must be available to work shifts starting as early at 5:30 AM.
Physical requirements of the job include: walking/standing for a full 8 hour shift; bending, stooping, reaching; lifting items weighing in excess of 30 lbs; and pushing/pulling carts.
