Before and After Care Teacher

Responsibilities: - Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care - Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs - Supervise and engage children in play such as organized group games in gym - Maintain a clean and organized space - Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary - Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns - Follow all health and safety guidelines Experience: - Previous experience in school-aged care or childcare is preferred - Familiarity with first aid procedures and CPR certification is a plus - Experience working with students in a classroom or daycare setting is beneficial - Knowledge of classroom management techniques - Understanding of child development principles and practices - Experience working with Elementary Schoolers and providing age-appropriate care - Background in special education is an asset Skills: - Strong caregiving skills, including patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with children - Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues - Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for children of diverse backgrounds - Organizational skills to plan activities, manage time effectively, and maintain records Little Lamplight Child Care is located in International Christian Church.
