R0106162 On Site Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States Full time Amentum is seeking a talented Entry Level Software Engineer in the Virigina Beach area.
Entry Level Software Engineer Responsibilities Include: Develop and/or verify software system specifications and requirements documentation, develop support system software capabilities, features, or enhancements.
Plans, performs, and lead software design, coding, and testing.
Work with customers and engineers in an adaptive Agile environment, build and maintaining the latest software projects for the navy, and helping expand our software capabilities.
Primary work location will be in Virginia Beach, VA or Dam Neck, VA with 40% telecommute (2 days per week on average).
Communicating status, risks, issues, and ideas for innovation directly to the PM.

Minimum Qualifications and experience: Bachelor’s Degree (in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or Physics) Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start) Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
Experience with and proficient with at least one of the following Object-oriented programming (OOP) languages: C/C++,Java, or Python.
