Assistant Infant Teacher

Primrose School Virginia Beach South is looking for Full time Assistant Teachers to join our team.
*This position works *_*year round Monday-Friday*_ *with a set schedule working 9:00-6:00pm, with pay starting at $15.
50/hr.
* You would be working with the following age groups: * Infants The ideal candidate must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency and Primrose School of Virginia Beach Standards such as/but not limited to: * High school diploma/GED required * Negative TB screening upon first day of employment * Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs in connection with handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
Desired Qualifications: * Previous teaching/childcare experience preferred but not required The responsibilities consist of: * Assist with supervision and daily classroom functions * Provides the children with verbal praises and acceptance while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
* Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
* Assists and coordinates snacks, meals, nap time and bathroom activities.
* Maintains the Primrose Schools professional attire, attitude and work behavior.
* Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions as determined by the Leadership Team.
