Seasonal Tax Reviewer
Job Overview:
As a Seasonal Tax Reviewer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of tax returns during peak tax seasons.
This temporary position typically occurs during the busy tax-filing periods, such as the months leading up to the annual tax deadline.
You will play a crucial role in reviewing and verifying financial information to guarantee that clients' tax returns are prepared in accordance with current tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

* Thoroughly review individual tax returns to identify errors, inconsistencies, and potential areas of improvement.
* Verify the accuracy of financial information, including income, deductions, and credits.

* Ensure that tax returns comply with current tax laws, regulations, and guidelines.
* Stay updated on changes in tax codes and communicate any updates or modifications to the tax preparation team.

* Collaborate with tax preparers and other team members to address any issues or discrepancies found during the review process.
* Provide clear and constructive feedback to tax preparers to enhance the accuracy of future tax returns.

* Ensure that all necessary documentation is accurately compiled and stored for future reference.

* Report progress and escalate issues to the supervisor as necessary.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
* CPA certification.
* Previous experience in public accounting doing high level tax preparation or 1040 tax review is required.
* Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial data analysis.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Thomson Reuters product knowledge a plus.
* Sureprep knowledge a plus.
