*Well-established Lowery Construction seeks a part-time office assistant/bookkeeper to assist the office manager.
The ideal candidate will have the ambition to help the company owner grow and reach its goals and objectives year after year.

_Performance objectives are:_
* Able to use Microsoft Office 365 (Word and Excel) to create written or email correspondence with clients, vendors, employees, and subcontractors or create spreadsheets for accounting and financial reporting, business analysis, and performance reporting.
* Proficient in essential Quickbooks functions such as data entry, check-writing, invoicing, and checkbook register screens, editing a template, filtering a report, memorizing a transaction, adding an account, finding a check written to a specific vendor, and assessing a finance charge.
* Assist with data entry and have the ability to execute payroll and subcontractor draws with the office manager.
Moreover, you will be able to do the work yourself shortly.
* Answer incoming calls, screen calls, and perform other receptionist duties as requested by the office manager and the owner.
* Assist with job costs with the office manager and, shortly, be able to run job costs on specific projects as requested by the owner.
* Assist with the paperwork for 401(k), health insurance, workers' compensation, and general liability insurance audit preparation, and, shortly, be able to conduct the paperwork yourself.
* Assist with accounts receivable and payable with an office manager and, shortly, be able to do the work yourself.
* Exhibit an attitude of gratitude, courtesy, professionalism, and customer service skills to create raving fans of you and the company.
_Qualifications/Requirements:_
* Associate Degree in accounting or business administration or equivalent business experience preferred
* Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
* QuickBooks, Word, and Excel advanced knowledge or higher
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to understand financial data, processes, and procedures
* Perform job responsibilities in an efficient and timely fashion.
* A high degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
* A valid driver's license with a good driving record
* Reliable transportation

_Responsibilities:_
* Working interdependently with the current office manager and the other staff
* Meeting administrative and bookkeeping deadlines while maintaining the company's standards of work
* Working to be very productive with efficiency and effectiveness regarding the performance objectives listed above for this role.
